    Gas TAX

Any fuel that is used for off road, lawn mower, chainsaw, leaf blower, in city or not qualifies in Missouri. In Missouri it is a return of 17 cents a gallon on gasoline and clear diesel used for off road. I realize doesn't sound like much, but I count every penny. I have gardens and mowers that...

    Gas TAX

any off road I take all off road gas state tax off. It is a little work and signed receipts have to be presented to department of revenue. Receipts have to be the original, in case of fuel credit with federal a copy is accepted. State forms for Missouri are 4923 and 4924. Fill out the...

    Ms 250

two cents worth: I like the 20" because it is closer to the ground without bending over for limbing and it is a lot handier for me to have the longer bar when felling.

    Good day for McCulloch

The old macs were top notch saws and right the younger guys don't realize what they missed. The pics were great, thanks:chainsaw:

    Analyze This

Keep the saw and run it. If it was for demo it could have been blemished to not be sold as a brand new saw.

    Tips & Tricks

I was going to build a little hut outside for my air supply and plumb in the air because I have a small shop also. Now, you got me to thinking it isn't such a good idea. Thanks:dunno:

    Random stihl in Sudan

I thought the guy is making lumber. Evidently the tree is bigger than it looks, Looks like a beaver fell the tree. This guy is probably a prosperous business man in Sudan. He's working and that is good, isn't it?:chainsaw:

    Let's start a good thread!!!

I live in a farming community and have been called a farmer and a rancher; doesn't bother me either way. What I don't understand is these city guys moving to a five acre housing addition with a couple of horses and putting a sign on the driveway stating the place is a ranch. Now I think that is...

    fuel oil mix

Hey, I ran that stuff from Lowes in my Lombard at 16 to 1. Engine seized. It didn't hurt the piston or cylinder at all. It just seized. Never could figure it out. The ambient temperature and humidity wasn't right to seize a saw and I have had that happen. I blamed this fancy stuff.

A List of Future Saws That Should Be Made

Would that be an Obumyasucker or Gorestictoya model?

How did you come up with your user name?

Forty five years ago I spent some time in the outback and Dingo pup was with me for a while. Aussie's don't cotton to dingos, but I figure that dingo and I had about the same temperment.

    Why are we here?????

This site brings things together for a lot of us. Where else would there be a bunch of onery, biased, hard working and some (maybe) not so hard working support one another to solve a simple or complex problem?

    It's a new mall

OOOOOHHH!! That thing is for you young guys, as for me it looks great and that's as close as I want to get. Fun to tinker with and a good buy.

    Best sounding saw ever

Old 1955 David Bradley. Back then a lot of the saws had power products engines with different frames and drives. The old Bradley had a straight pipe and the difference of it and todays saws reminds me of the difference between a Harley and a two stroke Yama-hammer of today. Yeah, it was slow...

    Saw As An Investment

Just could never do that. I would have to fire it up. I couldn't keep my hands off of a new saw. My investment would go to pot in a heart beat:greenchainsaw:

    mac 10 10

A little foggy, but years ago I had a 10-10 that had a carb problem. Was there two types of carbs that came out on that saw? I was told mine had a W carb and they were cantankerous.

    Poulan Pro gas cap problem?

I think it is the cheap ethanol gas we are forced to use. I had a motorcycle that the diaphragms just gummed up. I had the same problem with a poulan saw, I'll admit they are cheap, but this one starts and runs good.

    New chainsaw rack

Yeah, I thought the same thing about the safety, but hey , it looks great and I got a truck that I wish I could get half as organized as this setup.

Why I will never buy Stihl again

I bought a MS260 and it seized. The dealer replaced the saw and told me later that a screw had lodged on top of the piston of the seized saw. He disassembled the unit himself and can't explain where the screw came from. A freak thing, but my dealer didn't hesitate to replace the saw.
