First post- looking to get a beater 50cc saw

Don't count out a used Husqvarna 545 or 550. They've been out long enough now that they are getting quite easy to find in the used market. These days, there are times that it's easier to find a 545/550 than it is a 346/353, especially one in decent shape. The 357/359 I wouldn't classify as a...

I just ruined a cylinder with a piston stop tool

Yes, I will fix that lol. I got caught in the midst of two thoughts, every revolution, every other change in direction. It's been a long couple weeks at work and home, very little sleep. :)

Just to play devils advocate, you don't think that an explosion every revolution, immediately applying force in the opposite direction is pretty synonymous with an impact gun?

    Is There Strength in Numbers?

I'll provide you with the info, you can draw your own conclusions. I purchased some additional property nearby my home a little over a month ago. It hasn't been touched in at least 60 years, probably more. I'm building some storage on a small part of it so I cleared about a quarter acre...

Want to Buy Jonsered 2041, 2045, or 2050 starter cover.

    I need a starter cover for a Jonsered 2041. A cover from a 2945 or 2050 would work.

    Jonsered 2041

    Thank you much!

    Jonsered 2041

First off, it’s been years since I’ve been on AS, so hello to all the new faces. I have a Jonsered 2041 in the shop right now that holds some sentimental value to the owners. In that light, I’m trying to keep costs down on the “restoration” but that is proving hard as some of the parts are few...

Do they make electric outage alerts

Might be better to hook up a UPS or some sort of emergency power if you're after peace of mind.

    95 polaris xlt worth taking?

Only downfall to those, is when the water pump fails. It's not easy to find a replacement.

    is a 268xp really better than a regular 268?

You will notice a difference between the two. Both saws being healthy, the 268xp will out cut he 268. Not by a huge margin, but in my opinion, an amount that is noticeable.

    Buy?

If it truly has never seen wood, I think that's a heck of a deal.

Generac Kinetic 22 ton log splitters

If it's anything like they're "quiet" line of generators, you're going to be disappointed.

    372xp

Just taking the years off the end buddy.

    372xp

Nothing quite like that new saw smell, or warranty.

    Log splitter went boom today

Sounds like a winner to me. Always nice to work with a direct replacement.

    Log splitter went boom today

Sad to say, but not worth fixing. That connecting rod alone will run you $35-$60 depending on where you get it. I really hate to admit, but those Harbor Freight motors are a really good option.
