Why does running a chain in the ground dull it so bad. I know it does dull it and don't do it if I can help it. I'm just curious why it dulls it. Is it because of the iron in the dirt?

What is the best saw you have had or run in terms of reliability, cutting ability,etc. The best cutting saw I have ever run that was mine was my 028 (in wood that was 14-16 inches), that was someone else's a 372xp. Most reliable is my 038 or 041, 2 pulls cold w/choke 1 warm.

Just bought another 028. Found it in a local pawn shop for 150 in really good shape. Probably wasn't used very much. Any thoughts??

Is a 1 ton flatbed heavy enough to use as a chip truck temporarily? My dad has a 1 ton ford with a 10 foot bed I can use? It is a 2wd gas burner but I think I can make it work. suggestions
