    that was my problem, i was using #4 on it and i had the biggest problem when she would kick back on me, it would snap that cord as if it were sewing thread.

    3/16 poly/nylon....friend gave me a roll of it so ive been using that....looks like same size that was on the saw that was originally on it but im sure the strength of it isnt the same as what came with the saw originally

    fired up my homelite 925 to cut up a big old oak that fell from the storm.....holy crap i forgot how much of a bear it is to start this thing, this is one saw that definitely needed a compression release.....or an electric start....i think my arm is 6 inches longer

    thanks so much, i believe the problem with mine is that jet, it revs with no problem under no load but whenever i get into the cut the engine just bogs out on me once i start cutting.

    hi all, i remember reading on here a while back that theres a way to mod a homelite 925 carb to bypass the hi speed fixed jet so you can actually adjust the high speed mixture manually. does anyone know about this mod and can you please let me know what has to be done to do this.......thanks

    ive been watching it out of curiosity and if the price was right mabee making a bid..... i really dont need it , i already have 2 925s and a 922 which are both almost identical to the 955vi less the anti vibe.......ditto on the rope and fuel line
