    Planning a splitter build

I'm thinking of building a splitter (long term plans) but I'm still in the designing stage and have a question. Would it be possible to combine a 2-stage pump with a regeneration circuit? Using the same pressure to switch to small volume and stop the regeneration or should it be 2 different...

    The Stihl MS661 C-M recall

The website is misleading but I get why they would put the 661 online. The catalogs have the 661 so it's hard to keep it off the websites. But I don't get why there isn't any message or tag linked to the 661 on their websites, like, temporarily not available. I don't get the irregularity on the...

    ******firewood storage*********

I'm gonna stack on pallets and wrap with wrapnet this year. Easy to move and deliver. Is a lot of stacking but only once and quantity is guaranteed and the pallet is stable.

    The Stihl MS661 C-M recall

Recently noticed that they have replaced the MS660 on the Belgium website with the 661. This happened after the recall started, just a couple of days ago. The 660 is no longer in the list. Don't know if any of the 2 is available, I'll check with my dealer next week.

    The Stihl 362 disappointment

In the US or worldwide? Strange that it is showed in the 2014 catalog then.

    The Stihl 362 disappointment

Yea, but I was just surprised. They pay little to no attention to the oil here in Belgium. The dealer closest to me only sells HP Super. My dealer on the other hand only sells the regular HP and the HP Ultra. But most just go for the cheapest one. We don't get extra warranty with buying oil or...

    The Stihl 362 disappointment

Just happen to go through the new catalog from Stihl. At the 2-stroke oil, they added this: 500 hours with HP Ultra. Some blablablablabla, By using HP Ultra consistently, a piston in the Stihl testlab remains as new after a few hundred hours of running (see pic). More blablabla, specially...

    Can a 25" bar weigh only 780grams (27.5oz)

Here is the thread if you are interested (Edit: you found it already I see): http://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/stihl-rollomatic-es-light-look-changing.248828/ The ES is changing from look (in the 2014 catalog (from Belgium) it is changed, all the others stay like they are now) and...

    to mod a muffler...

Ok, thanks. I'm thinking about muffler modding my 064 but rather keep it pretty silent because I mainly use it at home, half a mile from town center.

    to mod a muffler...

What do you think is the less noisy way to go? Ofc the size of the extra hole but how much does extra holes compare to only making the stock opening bigger etc? You've done some MM a while back (can't seem to find pics of it), I think the style you used on the 261. Bending small parts of the...

    drying wood - circulate air?

I'm not promoting soaking wood in water. It was just something I came across and thought that rain may have the same, but very small ofc, effect. I don't know to which extend BTU's take the heat from sap into consideration.
