Idiot chainsaw = Pull-on 3416. Worst was ever built. They run and cut once maybe twice. Local Ace where I worked has atleast 30 in back that were returned. Oiler was designed by a 4 year old, carb works great unless you need it, tensioner is useless, the fylewheel and magneto like to form one...

I think the 575 has real good bang for the buck when it comes to Huskys. Everyone that has one, that I know, loves the 575. Most say it's got more bottom end grunt than the 372.

We really need more info to answer your question. Which saw are you have chain troubles with? Have you considered using rope or cable instead of chain? When cable gets dull just turn the saw upside down.

So, how long 'till you open up the muffler?

I was thinking my Timberbear was 32:1 and I ran that in the 610 I had too. That'd be 10-12 years ago. They both ran great.

Are you planning on doing you're own maintenance/repairs? If not, then you need to look at who has better dealer support in your area. Personally, I would look at a used larger saw like a 440, 575 or maybe a 7900 if you have a good dealer around. 3 cube saws work fine but I really like running...

My first new saw was a Mac 3214 about 12-13 years ago. Ended up with 3 or 4 of them. They were great "semi-disposable" saws. I wouldn't mind another if I hadn't gotten spoiled by "non-disposable" saws.
