    To restore or not

I inherited my fathers chainsaws and I've debated restoring them or leaving them as is, a sentimental thing. I decided to leave them as is and still use them except for one, his McCulloch PM 610, the first 60cc saw I used as teenager. I can buy them on ebay all day long , but its not the same...

Do these look like Stihl Serial #'s ?

The serial numbers that start with a C look like newer Echo serial numbers. I just purchased a Echo cs 590 chainsaw Saturday 12-14-19 from a local Echo Dealar that has the serial number of C69015042XXX , I put xxx in replace of the last three numbers. I'm not sure about the T prefix, but...

    1949 farmall cub questions

I don't have weights on mine yet, I'll have to look into them and the chain setup you have. The tractor has the power, traction becomes the issue when pushing deeper snow. The added middle section of chain should smooth the ride out some also, it has gaps right now that makes it little bouncy...

    1949 farmall cub questions

I like it Huskybill, duals look pretty neat on those tractors. I do like my 184 for mowing and plowing snow. Mowing its not very fast as compared to a zero turn, but its fun to mow with. Plowing snow it does ok with chains as long as the snow doesn't get too deep.

    1949 farmall cub questions

Thats too bad about missing parts, I've had good luck with an aftermarket starter and carburetor that I got from yesterdays tractor about eight years ago, for my ford 8n. Or you can rebuild what you have, I know many guys prefer the carburetor rebuild kits from case ih if you have a dealer...

    MS250 bar and oiling issues

When running in colder temps I use Stihl Winter Bar oil in my ms250 and other Stihls. It's worked for me but might not work for everyone if other issues are present. I also have a bar groove cleaner tool that scrapes all the gunk that buildups in the bar...

Is Husqvarna Fading??? & West Coast thought's???

I have 2 Stihl dealers within 10 miles of me and 1 Echo dealer, all three have been good to work with. Still trying to find a Husqvarna dealer that sells pro saws. I can find Husqvarna home owner saws all over place, but my last two pro saws I had to buy online.

    1. Husqvarna 346XP not oiling chain/bar.......2. Leaking lube from day 1.

What is your bar oiler adjusted to? Use your manual to locate the adjustment screw, mine is located just under side cover on the chain side. I know many people say that you do not have to grease the bar tips on these, I found that I locked my bar roller tip up after about one hours use when it...

    Echo CS-670 advice...

About every saw made in todays age is running lean. People gave me the exact same advice on my 346 xp and Stihl MS 460 as they gave you.
