    Jonsered chainsaw help. 70e 621 49sp

IIRC there was a 3 pin doohicky that sat down on that you could get a wrench on. Been 40 years...

    pretty echo 301 has issues

I was going by the IPL. That's where it's supposed to be. You would likely need to disassemble the inside of the cap to find the vent. This was a common method of tank venting back in the late 60's/early 70's, and it worked until the duckbill got gummy. If the saw ever had ethanol in it the...

    pretty echo 301 has issues

It should be in the fuel cap. It's a little duckbill, Homelite type vent. Part # is 13131400330 at ereplacementparts.com . Remember there are 2 Echo 301's!!! The older model you and I have dates from 1971-73 and the much later top handle saw from 2001 on.

    pretty echo 301 has issues

Diagnose it one step at a time. How is the fuel filter and in tank line? Hows the rest of the fuel line? Have you adjusted the carb to best performance? Is the fuel tank vent working? When it dies, does it have spark? Is the exhaust port on the muffler clear? I have the same saw, haven't done a...

    Educate me on Dolmar 115i

Hey Dustin, I'm over north of Gouvernuer/Black Lake. Sachs Dolmar/Dolmar was fairly big in our area back in the 90's/early 2000's. Great, professional grade saws. I also have a 115, I run all my stuff at 40-1 with a good mix oil. Parts for the 115 can be a pain to find, but if you learn to haunt...

Stihl 041 Super AVE - No Spark - SEM Electronic Ignition

I'm still sitting on a 2100 Husky with no spark. I've put 2 different coils (SEM GA) in it with no luck. Flywheel seems to have plenty of magnetism. There has to be a way to fix this problem, it seems fairly common.

    041 Super cylinder studs

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me why they went that way, but they did.

    041 Super cylinder studs

The stud is number 14 in the left hand assy.

    041 Super cylinder studs

Just the way it's designed. The studs are near 6" long, maybe more.

    041 Super cylinder studs

Thanks, I have a couple other sources I've been made aware to check also.

    041 Super cylinder studs

I would if I knew the size/thread/length and could find something that would work. Do you have that info? My local hardware is a bit scant on metric stuff.

    041 Super cylinder studs

Thanks. I searched Ebay with that part# and got NOTHING. Weird.

    041 Super cylinder studs

After years of searching I finally found a NOS 041 cylinder and piston. This requires 4 studs instead of the caps screws on the standard 041, part# 0000 953 0816 . Anyone have a source for these?

Just an observation on parts suppliers

I always try Ebay first, but the only listing was for seals with the wrong part#.

Just an observation on parts suppliers

As it happens they were seals for a Sachs 133. Jacks seems to think selling what they don't have is a good business practice.

    For you McCulloch fans

They do have a sound that's all their own.

Just an observation on parts suppliers

I went looking for some seals for a saw. Was helped here with a proper/good part# and went searching for someplace that had them. A well known small engine place showed them as "in stock". So I ordered and paid for them. That was 10/3/21. This AM (10/13/21) I get an email stating the part has...
