That is probably true... OK lets know talk about maintenance & the truck in general.... First lets look at everything you have to replace with these older trucks, motor, tranny, brakes, brake lines, paint, new sheet metal here & there, oil, filters, ect, ect. The you have to consider that...

Ralph I agree with some of what your saying...but people here & people by you are two totaly different kinds of people...a newer nice truck/equipment in many cases will land you the job here..the warranties are VERY useful, also what you obvousily don't understand is that MOST problems are fixed...

I personally have never owned one but my buddy has their largest model, takes up to 22" & has a 225hp JD I think...its a BEAST will chip just as good as any BB or Morbark and MUCH better then those yellow paper weights know as "Vermeer"..lol...I saw one guy in the Tree Trader has a 06 15" model...

Morbark is personaly my top chipper then Brush Bandit then Discone.... I WOULD NEVER TOUCH A VERMEER...EVEN IF IT WAS FOR FREE

Buy a used chipper dump body...they're selling for $1600 with a hoist & they're in pretty good condition... oh btw they're 12ft.s
