    In english you call the knot a Valdotain Tresse. I have no experience climbing on it though, still new and practicing.

    Need good books title for tree identification

    You can check out "Dirr's Encyclopedia Of Trees And Shrubs". Very pricey, but very good as well. I am currently looking for an easier tree ID book myself. I know there are other threads on this site where people have asked the same question, I just haven't had time to search and read them.

    jeez, I was just working with a tree Co. in Vernon last week. Grew up there and live nearby. Do you remember what street the stuff was taken from? I HATE thieves. I will watch local sources for your saws. Sorry to hear the bad news:angry:
