Had several dead ticks fall off our dog this year -- we use Frontline Plus for size 96#+dog-- it kills the ticks . Hate those little bastages!

Noodle down to a manageable size with whatever of my 2 saws is at hand. I'm not a pro, and good scrounges of firewood in legally accessible places can be hard to come by in my corner of NY, so I never waste a crotch. Besides they burn very well. I'm happy when an arborist/tree co. leaves them...

Indeed. And I would agree. I think for us up here in the Northeast, it's the other crap -- dirt, grit, sand — we really worry about, cos that's what's on a lot of the scrounge wood, at least. generous @stihlaficionado just sent me a new HD air filter he had lying around, so me and the saw are...

I only have two saws so it's easy--the old 372xp with the 20 inch bar.

Gotta be a sticky cleanup. I wonder what the west coast guys use. Is there a market for pine firewood in your area in a year's time, say, when it's seasoned a bit, or do people only want to burn hardwood? Personally, when it's seasoned I don't mind at all getting a fireplace fire started with...
