    3/16 vs 5/32 file

That is the one I have The file goes through the hole past the serrations without rubbing at all. Those sit down on the top of the tie straps. I have read about filing the groove things a bit to fit other chains. Maybe just need a bit of filing to get it to sit down.

    Advice for homeowner chainsaw

For the Echo 361p minimal things to note in no particular order kind of tiny clutch diameter. two 6mm bolts with a shoulder for the bar nuts. Nylon looking chain catcher, tiny bar nuts, tiny fasteners that loosen up on the front handle on the right. I never have had an issue with the Stihl...

    Advice for homeowner chainsaw

How about a generator for the corded electric? Too bad you said you have a cheap one. They will all be built to a price point. I will suggest the Echo 361p but there are a few acceptable quality issues or minimalistic components. It is light and blows the chips and exhaust gasses out in the...

    3/16 vs 5/32 file

It will be difficult to do all the teeth the same. Actually, with no guide and filing on the bar in the saw (used) a finger can be placed to hold the actual cutter pretty well. The roller guides do index on the tie straps so perhaps the play of the drive links in the bar and the play at the...

    3/16 vs 5/32 file

It would take good hand to eye coordination and good vision to be a candidate for not using a guide. The ones you posted back in post 54 are worth trying. s93g and sp33g would be the ones. The top plate is visible during filing.

    338 XPT won't idle

I would say a 338xpt new edition would be the best choice on that platform. Not sure what is better or worse vs the 334 here. The anti vibe is quite impressive especially the one at the rear. The air filter is the real problem, gets dirty and eventually you damage it. There is the white and...

Who makes the best Lineman pliers and Diagonal cutters?

Are you watching Channellock 349 on ebay like I suggested? And to answer some of pdqdl! question. High tensile with springy things and the not very much metal barbed wire are quite hard. The more massive barbed wire is pretty soft compared to what would replace it. Exactly what chore the...

    Stihl bars

In case no one answered this. The 024 is a reduced displacement 026 and creates a bit of a problem in calling out a switch over of mounts.

    Stihl bars

The Stihl design of the pictured bar is to be wide fast as distance from the sprocket increases and how to sculpt the forward part of the bar. Note how the Dolmar bar would have to be cut down at the tail in order to get the Stihl oil input hole to be possible.

    Stihl bars

Sell more goods by having more goods at the dealership. That is one intent. The differing drive link counts regardless of what called length is what the thread is basically about. Look at Husky 56, 64, 72, sensible balanced loops. 66 and 78 as well Stihl changes over from the pole saw and...

    3/16 vs 5/32 file

I am thinking mostly worn-out chain means the side of the cutters is damaged farther back than the top.

Who makes the best Lineman pliers and Diagonal cutters?

The Channellok 349 is a box joint lineman piler. That is the one that should be rated best but it seems dropped off their website. Quite available still. well maybe takes some patience if you want new on ebay or similar.

Help me choose a proper knot

Maybe I should stop going around 1 1/2 times. Your knot there is all bunched up against the clevis. I was more thinking he wanted to go through the clevis and then back as far as possible towards the block and tackle. I guess you could have a long tag end on your anchor bend knot. If one...

    Flat files all the same?

There is like teeth per inch probably like other rules 3 teeth in contact at a time. The angle of the serrations seems the same as a flat file of similar coarseness. I have a square file maybe 0.4" by 9" long seems real similar results and I do use the gauge when filing. I kind of like new...

Help me choose a proper knot

3/4 inch clevis seems small without a thimble. I would use as big a clevis as fits in the drawbar, go one and a half times around and then use a bowline. With a pair of pilers the knot can be undone.

Do you burn wood? If so he seems to offer that most times for free. I kind of think you put this in the wrong section. Is he perceived competition to you? Thinking about finding some folks to sub out some of your work going by your avatar?
