    Got a new/old truck.

You will need a Class B, CDL, with air brake endorsement to drive that on the road. Neat truck though. FYI: If you do not like cold, snow, and ice, Texas is NOT the place to be right now.

    SC252 - Current Used Pricing?

Check out "Tree and Landscape Equipment Trader" online. Lots of grinders advertised all across the country. You can get a good idea of asking prices, and may even find one for sale in your area.

2019 Carlton 7015 engine belt jumping.

While you are at it, make sure the chaincase for the poly chain is nice and clean. Just a little buildup of dust/chips will cause the poly chain to act up.

    Skid loader stump grinders

A total waste of money. The ones that do not swing are hard to use efficiently. The cuttings often fly back and hit the cab/you/or the cab window. They can not be used in any tight spots. Save your money and buy a real dedicated stump grinder with self propel and hydraulic controls. The remote...

    Stump Grinder

I don't remember who my insurance was with. I do remember it was called "Inland Marine" insurance. Why it was called that, I don't know.

    Stump Grinder

No, you do not need a DOT number as long as your truck, trailer and load are under 26,000. Not sure exactly, but the grinder probably does not weigh over 2000#. I assume you do not have a large truck and trailer.

    Stump Grinder

If you stray from Carlton or Bandit, you will probably be making a mistake. I was in the stump grinding business for over 12 years, and those are the two brands I think are the best. Go used, if you can find a good one, and this will allow you to get the remote control and some higher...

    Rayco super teeth

Yes, the Sandvic is great. That is what I used on my three diesel machines, later on. The Sandvic wheel and tooth system is well worth the money you will spend on it.

    Rayco super teeth

With a lot of rocks, I don't think Green Teeth is the way to go. I had them on a big Bandit tracked machine and hated them in rocky ground. The edges seemed to chip really easy. Sure, you can turn them, but who wants to turn a tooth 3 times in one day, and that can happen in rocks. Previously...

    How to compete?

I had a very good stump grinding business for about 15 years. I did not carry a saw, and referred all my tree work to the tree pros. As a result, I got a lot of references from them. I retired two years ago when I had shoulder problems. I sold my stump grinding equipment to one of the tree...

    Bobcat t320 vs s330

I have used both. The track machine may tear up the lawn just as bad as the wheel machine. However, the tracks will let you work in more soft conditions. Also, the tracks can do less damage, if you avoid any turns, or put plywood under the tracks where you want to turn. A supply of old 3/4"...

call for action for those who owns a Vermeer SC60TX and would like to have a Carlton style radio rem

It seems to me like you would be better off buying the right machine to start with. Then you get the Carlton remote with the machine. The Vermeer will never be comparable in quality or performance to a Carlton machine. An aftermarket add-on remote will never perform like a remote built for a...

    My new chipper

Somehow, sometime in the past, I think Sidewinder and Chipmore became the same operation. Neither has been made for years. That little chipper is probably good for light brush and small limbs, maybe up to 3" or so. The little Honda on it is probably no more than 20 hp, if that.

    Lindig drum chipper need info

Forget about any dealers. However, any GOOD auto parts store, can find what AMC parts are available for that engine.

    Lindig drum chipper need info

That must be an old chipper for sure. I know a little about AMC engines, having restored some big Jeep pickups. I know nothing about Lindig chippers. The last year AMC made the 360, was 1984. Chrysler continued building that engine for Jeep Wagoners through 1991. If it is an original engine on...

Has anyone here used the MXD52 stump grinder?

I was in the stump grinding business for 15 years. In all that time I NEVER saw anyone with a Morbark stump grinder. To the best of my knowledge, Morbark has never been a player in the stump grinder business, and has never offered a really comparable model to Rayco, Carlton, or Bandit. Now that...

    Diesel tank help needed!

I think you might have a Lombardini air-cooled diesel there. Kohler bought out Lombardini a few years back. The old Lombardini diesels were very good engines in my opinion. I used to see them on lots of portable light plants.

    Rayco sold out to Morebark

I just noticed an advertisement in Tree Trader that announces that Morebark has bought Rayco. Morebark has never had a competitive stump grinder, so I guess this gives them the Rayco lineup. I wonder how many of the other Rayco products will make it into the Morebark lineup and how many will...

    Reputable Equipment Financing

Go t0 the local bank you do business with and see if you can get a commercial loan for it. If you have a relationship with your local banker, you can almost always get better rates than these "third party" finance firms offer.
