Stihl 031 AV for sale. Starts, runs, and cuts. I prefer a local sale in South East Wisconsin. There is a b&c on the saw, but it’s very worn. Reduced to $119 obo.

I tore my Stihl 031AV apart to clean it up and stick a new carburetor, sprocket, and ignition chip in there. That all seemed to go well until it was near fully assembled and I realized I was going to have an extra screw left over. DOH! I tore it apart again and couldn't figure out where this...

With the declining availability of parts available, has anyone successfully used an 026 piston in an 031...same bore (44mm) and stroke (32mm)?

does anyone know if there is a cross reference for 031AV and new stihl parts. I understand the ms310 or the 290 are supposed to be replacements for the 031 and 032. I just wonder if anyone has tried using one of those cylinders to repair their saw since they come in 44mm to 49mm. Thanks

Have not yet torn down my 031AV that had the loose muffler. But have been mulling what I know so far 1. Muffler flange was broken and muffler loose. That affected running for sure. 2. With top cover off I was able to ever so slightly move flywheel up and down and feel a click. Not sure if this...

I have been watching a pair of 031's locally for a few months. It is like 2 pieces of bait on strings. Both run, but they need carb cleaning. One has the inertia chain brake and one has just the hand guard. Are these sought after saws? Any value in them? They are listed at $130 for the pair...
