I just picked up one of these at a garage sale for $5
Tore it down today and the Piston/cyl looks primo! The thing is clogged with crud but that's easy. A few parts are missing but not too many.
I will need to source a new exhaust cover and some of the brake parts but over all a win.
6t 3/8" lo-pro...need bar and chain.
Will give the carb a kit but the fuel left in the tank was actually not bad at all.
Great compression.
Question:. What is the best way to strip down the chain brake section? Looks like one rivet needs to get ground out and 3 pins punched.
Am looking forward to getting this running as it was one of the first saws I was introduced to in the early 80s.
I have a running, early 020av, 38mm but want to keep this 40mm super.
Where to find parts? Not much on eBay right now.
