I want to mill some planks for the cabin out of some 12"-14" logs, but I am having trouble finding a ripping chain for a 20" bar that is .325. I see alot of them that are 3/8's. My question is can I convert my 029 super to run a 3/8's chain by switching out the sprocket or would more be required?

The logs would be no more than 12 or 13 in dia. and birch logs at that. I have done a little research and found it will probably just be easier to convert a chisel chain into a ripper any way plus they are cheaper than buying a ripping chain. Thanks for the info!!!
