I think they are a very good saw I have a 030 031 and a 032 .they are very nice to run smooth and well balanced they start and idle well also.
They are a bit of a pain to work on but have a mini Mac beat by a mile .

After everything you've replaced you shouldn't have to run... infact I recon you could just about call it a new saw with a some cosmetic imperfections
I thought about a cosmetic restoration...but, the finish just never seems to hold up like oem. I clearcoated it with a nice semi-gloss and let the parts cure in the sun all day...ill call it patina[emoji1787]

Only thing it probably needs is a coil. If i open the plug gap to .035 it wont start hot, but at .025 it starts fine hot.

Why not try .020 like it supposed to be?
I try to run a larger gap when i can, as long as it still responds right. maybe this one just likes the small gap. Might grab another plug out the box, cut it back and side gap it to .020 like we did running 2stroke karts years ago..they liked that
