The fuel tank vent line on my 039 cracked.
I get sprayed with gas when the saw is running, so this must end and be fixed.
Should I spend $8.50 online to buy one, or should I simply find a screw that fits into a new hunk of fuel line and call it good?
The original line has two screws in it.
Also, if anybody has the pdf shop manual for the 039, it would be GREATLY appreciated !!!
Thanks, Kev

You could use an appropriately sized line (check ID) and the grub screw inserts, yes. I prefer a length of line and an Echo style vent these days. They usually don’t leak, work well, and eliminate the error of the screw threads not allowing air through the system.
