044 crank bearing problem

as far as i know on the flywheel side the bearings and seals can only be set in their place..crank side is different as the seal goes inside the bearing

fly wheel side can only be pressed so far

Don’t press the seal in all the way. If you notice where the old seal was pressed in just a little below the surface. On the clutch side, use a large washer and a large deep well socket to drive the seal in flush with the bearing.

Thats why they make installation tools to put it in to the set depth!
 
It only has to go far enough to ride on the non-tapered part of the crank and deep enough not to tangle with tb fwheel hub.
 
Finally got a deal from Ebay..22 bucks plus shipping for a oem used wrap handle..

Well it sounds good. Haven't cut with it yet
Its been to muddy to get in the pastures
