084 No spark how to diagnose problem

The scheduled job was rained off today so I went out and did a small beech that has been waiting a while. I put the small bar on the 084 and took it along. It ran beautifully and cut great even with the semi chisel chain. It cut better and much faster than it looks in the video...I was grinning under the visor :sweet:

To update the thread, I fitted the spare coil and it was sparking but the saw was really difficult to start (a two man job) and when it did it ran like poo and smoked like a trooper. I gave up and took it to the Stihl dealership. It took them two weeks but they found the problem and told me: -
1. The flywheel was not centred properly.
2. This saw has two woodruff keys
I have never taken the flywheel off and it did used to run well (iirc) but I have no reason to doubt their observations and it now starts and runs great so I have nothing to complain about. It only cost £120 as well.
I love these old Stihl...much better than their latest shite
