I was at my buddy's place the other day and he showed me some of his grandpa's old David Bradley saws, and there were a couple lengths of 1/2 pitch chain. I always here this is very valuable to racers and I would like to buy it from him. I dont want to screw him over, so if anyone knows what fair market value for this chain is i would appreciate some info. I dont know what the length was but I would guess about 24", I dont know the protocol for measuring chain off a bar. thanks

1/2 inch chain

1/2 inch chain can sell for $2.50 a drive link. However it must be in good condition and not rusty or worn out. It must also be chisel chain and not chipper. Almost all of the old saws I have seen have chipper chain. If you go back and check on the David Bradley I think you will find that it is chipper chain. That chain is almost worthless. Mike :(
