Have to run some pex in my basement and was wondering if the pex at Menards would work as well as the central pex? Does not have to be insulated for what I am doing.

Menards pex is just fine. Wether or not you need to insulate it is unknown because I don't know what your doing with it.

I picked up 100 ft to run a cold water line from a well house to the cabin. Put in down 5 ft and if it freezes, no big deal because once hunting season is over we lock the place up until spring. The plumbers in our area buy a lot of pex from that place. It goes on sale once a month.
