Trying to figure out the weight of my 480CD as it would compare to a modern age saw. I'm buying a new one soon just cant decide. the paper work says the 480 weighs 8.8kg with a 45 cm bar and chain. that's 19.4 pounds total with a 18 inch bar.

anyone know what a metal husky bar weighs with chain? I'm guessing 2 pounds or so. I don't have an 18 bar so I cant weigh one. I guess I could take my bar off the 480 and weigh it to get a PHO idea apples to apples. Ive got a full wrap and its pretty heavy. I'm guessing Id not have any problem using the 390 or 395 xp bucking wood as that is what I use the 480 on when the 20 inch bar is not big enough. Id probably get a 28 inch bar instead of the 24 I use now though.

spent 6 hours limbing waist high or above about 3 weeks ago and my elbows still have not recovered. don't think id want to do that again.
