Chipps

Solid older chipper with Cummins 4BT 116HP. Use for specialty work chipping old brush piles, so it gets a steady diet of old dry, petrified wood and dirt. Often those break into chunks and stall the feed wheels, jamming between them and the intake throat. Last job the wheels jammed more frequently for pieces that ordinarily would get mashed up. I'm thinking maybe pressure relief valve spring is weakening from lots of exercise? Looking for information on the proper method and pressures to use to check this, as well as method and pressures for checking the hydro pump.
Thanks!
