The 361. It is a great not too heavy saw for cutting firewood.

This whole 2 saws, 3 saws, 4 saws thing is a waste of time and money. IMO.

Unless you have money to burn. In which case, buy a 460 and use the 361 as a limbing saw.

The 361 is the Stihl one saw plan. The two saw plan is a MS 260 and a 440/441/460/660 (your choice depending on how big of wood you want to regularly tackle).

The three saw plan might be a 260 and then a 361/441 and then an 660/880. Or replace the 260 with a top handle trim saw and you have a typical arborist setup. Trim saw, ground saw and stump saw.

If it is tiring you out to run the 361 all of the time, look at a 250/260 as a small limbing saw.

My two saw plan is a 346xp ne then a 472xp. Its a great firewood combo.

I run my 034 Super (now 360) with a 20 inch bar for larger stuff, and I have an 025 (now ms250) for limbing. Great combo for me.

024 Super. Plus i take my 192T just for fun.....oops that is a 3 saw plan.......sorry:biggrinbounce2:

stihl 361 is a limbing saw

or if you're sling'r, it's a 660, sometimes an 880

I would say either the ms180 or the ms660. Your choice if you cut bigger then 30 inch wood get the 660. If you don't need bigger then the 361 can handle get the 180 for the really light stuff. There you go an option bigger and an option smaller. Me I run the 180-361-7900 plan

I have a 250, 441, 660 I would like a 361.. just to have the thing... the 250 is a good saw.. I used it for 3 years as my main saw for firewood... it never let me down.. but I do agree with the others on maybe the 260 because If I am not mistaken you can interchange bars... somewhat... ( but dot put one too long on it)

although I believe there is another member that would probably use for the 2 or 3 or 4 or mor saw plan .. the 660, the 660, the 660..........:givebeer:

go buy an 880 , you'll use it once or twice just for the coolness factor and to scare the neighbors (make sure it has at least a 60 inch bar ) this way you dont have to walk around with the saw -just spin and cut.

hmmm.. i wonder if the quickkart from my ts760 will work on my 066

amateur, obviously.
except for the 460 suggestion, good advice there. go as big as you can. or wife will allow.

how do you get the first saw unstuck cutting pressurized wood without a second one nearby?
happens to most people. The more you cut, the more you will attempt to cut.

besides, who wouldn't want more saws???

best plan i can see. give your 361 to me for about $50. then go out and buy a 260 and 440. If ur a big man buy a 660, if u a sumo wrestler...buy an 880.
