2014 woodsplitting party

This years wood splitting party went very well. We had 26 guys that showed up ready for work and food. The last picture is our little shack that we call home.

The processed wood is very impressive. But what's most impressive is the wealth of good friendship you have been blessed with. The way it looks, you have earned that friendship.

Wow!!!! Let me get this straight. You had 26 friends come over and split & stack all that wood for food? Either the food is ultra-delicious, or your friends are exceptional, or your friends are hungry, or a combination of all 3.

For those that heat with wood I'm surprised that more "like" folks don't get together and have splitting parties. You can put up a lot of wood with help.

Yes I have a real good bunch of friends, family and neighbors. I have been doing this for around 5 years and everyone is still coming back so the food must be good. I usually have lots of good food, drinks, and four $25 drawings. On the other hand I have always believed in helping others when possible and this is proof that it comes back to you. We ran 5 to 6 splitters all day and by 5:00 we were done and enjoying the evening.

I am 51 years old and have had 3 heart attacks, believe me, I consider ever day a blessing!!

we try to do this after hunting season is over - ya know in the winter when its cold and no bugs - this year we didn't and we are behind for next year - Its usually 5 or so which can put up a lot of wood in a day

Today WAS a good day for a splitting party. We just didn't have the good food or the number of able bodied bodies that it looks like you did, but I was able to spend some time with my sons.
