Well I took the dive and bought a new 201t , decided I would run a few tanks few it , ran fine , gave it a blow down with the air gun afterwards and discovered that the crank has play it it , I’m not sure if it’s just the way that they come or what but it doesn’t seem right, for comparison I have a 020t and a clapped out 200t , the 020t is marked the year 2000 and has zero play , the 200t is a 2007 with a fair amount of play in the crank , 201t hasn’t got quite as much play as the 200t but there is an audible noise (you know the one) when pushing the crank up and down the length of the saw. Any opinions would be great on what to do.Sorry for the quick video but I think you can hear the play ,first is 200t second is 020t and last is 201t

The MS 200 and MS 201 models use roller bearings on the mains which will always have a few thousands end play. This is normal for these models. The 1120 series (009,etc.) and the 015 also used roller bearings in case anyone cares to know.

All my 200t and 201t have some play. However, the bearings are incredibly durable and rarely wear out. I wouldn’t worry about it unless a seal blows out.
