2153 coil replacement

Hey guys, I have a jonsered 2153 that the coil just went out on. I found an old post from spike60 saying he uses the 544047101 on all saws now as a non limited coil.

original limited coil is what is broken. My question is that p/n is for a 372 will the coil still fit and is this info still current or is there a new part number guys are using to convert to non limited.


Saw only has a muffler mod but may get a base gasket delete in the future.

Pretty much the whole 3 series uses the same coil.

Thanks for the help. got it up and running over the weekend. I ended up using the p/n for a 350 it is black made by SEM AB and is the part my dealer suggested.

funny that dealers are suggesting replacing limited coils with unlimited coils I wonder if there is some kind of bulletin about the limited coils
