Nice welds.

That’s coming form a welder.

What is that angle?

Looks crazy steep

The holes don’t go all the way through both sides so I cut out a piece of oak and pressed it in there. Made my tube expand .015 lol. Split some long ash with a good bend and another piece the 8 or 12 pound maul was bouncing off4FC2E5B7-27E2-4EFB-8481-D15DF84B691C.jpeg11052E65-CD86-4254-9775-654A49FD3E59.jpeg 6A34DD47-6CCF-43A0-8DEB-3B2C0608EF2C.jpeg5FFD1AD0-F124-4D79-8090-0BA713B3F3DC.jpeg

Great for someone who weighs 600 pounds & all muscle! Velocity and control wins. Sized properly. Eight to twelve pounders work best. I broke concrete all my life for a living and split wood. Had a contractor give me a 20 pound sledge, useless! NICE WELDS

Thirty years ago a buddy's dad passed away and he gave me his dads 20 pound sledge with a pipe welded in it for a handle. At that point I wasn't for sure if he liked me or hated me. I re gifted it to a BIL that liked to split wood with a monster maul and a sledge and wedge. A eight pound sledge is all I could ever swing or needed.

We have a 25LBS monster sledge for breaking pads off weldments that were mounted on positioners. Works great. But it swings you while you try to swing it. [emoji23]
