3/4" pitch chain

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this info, I picked up a kb6 or 7 last summer, trying to get some cheap 1/2" pitch chain for my cousin, but it's either 3/4 or 9/16, need to go check, hah. I immediately thought of swapping modern chain on it, like you, and it's so helpful to be able to look at someone else's notes, before my big "test" hah. Did you get her up and cutting? Very eager to see how the chipper chain worked on the old saw. Did you have to mess with chain gauge slotting the bar groove out wider, or was it close enough to work? In case it helps anyone, I've got the users manual for these, and military manual is TM 5-4002 I believe, haven't found a free source on the internet yet, but apparently the military manual for a compressor with same motor has more complete teardown info, a link for that is
