The good: This 346XP cuts, runs, oils like it should.
The saw will come with a nice 18 inch Sugi Hara bar, and two new chains, 325 050 72 DL.
The saw has an extra port on the muffler but no other modifications.

This saw has not seen all that much use. I have had it for years but never used it all that much, since I had a lot of Husqvarna saws and I would run a ported 372XPW 75cc most of the time because I liked the saw so much. I sold that one when I was 71 years of age and come up with a bad rotor cuff.

I wanted to get back into running chainsaws again, but it just did not work out.
I will be 79 next month and I am going to have to give up chainsaws whether I want or not.

The bad on this one. I has a leak in the gas tank, and it is somewhere out of sight, so the tank will have to come off and be patched or replaced.

Hi, I had a bad rotator cuff injury 14 years ago not much pain but could not lift arm hardly at all. I thought thats it never be able to work on forestry land felling and cutting firewood again. Looking in the garage at all my saws was awfull . Went to AE had it confirmed, sent to see a specialist who said your 53 normally I would not be to happy to do it but you want to try to get more movement in your shoulder so he opened me up, keyhole surgery was not an option, he repaired all inside the shoulder 7 inch scar. I was off work 9 months did not drive for 8, slowly got back into felling and logging exercising and stretching slowly the wife was a godsend. Now all is 100 0/0. I understand the hurt not being able to do what you want to do. The injury was caused by me stumbling in the woods and my arm hitting the ground at a funny angle.
So I am a new member, I enjoy the site and have picked up some good tips.

Thank you for that information. I am glad that you are back to work. There are a lot of good people on AS, and I too have learned much from them. Good luck to you it all that you do. I feel like I now have a friend in Bulgaria.

Finished working for a living several years ago when we moved here to Bulgaria in 2013. Here if you cannot use a chainsaw you may go cold in the winter, wood is delivered in metre lengths. The locals in the village bring their chains to be sharpened I will not charge them so for each chain they bring me a 2 litre bottle of kamenitza beer. Most chains here are quite low quality and a fair few of the chainsaws are chinese of dubious build quality thereare stihl and husky dealers quite local but these people do not seem to want travel anywhere.
Me I am a husky man with 6 husky very old but looked after and a stihl top handle saw, I have a stihl combi unit with various attatchments which is also many years old plus a bigger stihl strimmer, I have always thought stihl make the best strimmers etc but husky have always served me well.

You are correct about the Stihl trimmer I have an FS 90 10 years old, and still starts with one pull. I have run chainsaws since 1987 and started with a Sachs Dolmar. I ran those for years until parts were no longer available here.I moved to Stihl, and fould they were reliable for the most part, but when I went to Husqvarna then I soon had all Husqvarna starting about 10 years ago. I ran a modified Husqvarna 372XPW that has a factory 75cc top end, and it was ported and polished the base of the cylinder machined down so that the piston had .017 clearance when it come up to the top of the cylinder. An extra port was added to the muffler. It was tuned to 15,000 RPM on the top end. That was the fasted cutting saw that I ever owned. I sold that one after I hurt my shoulder. I kinda wish that I had kept it, but it did go to another member who was glad to get it.

My saws 2 357xp 2005/ 2006, 372xp 2005, 385xp 2006, 390xpg 2008 and a 346xp I Got for the wife 3 years ago. Only one problem on my oldest 357 3 years ago knacked cylinder, got a cheap cylinder on ebay and it runs fine, everybody to their own.
I always clean and check saws after using, some say its a waste of time but the proof is in the pudding.
