I got a couple of the ebay 2166 saws and did the base gasket delete on one of them. I checked the squish before I put it back together and don't remember what I got but I felt ok with it. I got it back together and checked the squish, .016 on the outside edge of the squish band and .020 on the inside edge. Here's my question, Has anyone ran that tight of squish on these and is it normal for the squish to be that tight?

Seems a tad too tight, but if you feel good about it...

Run it beside a stocker and make a video!

What’s the manufacturers stock squish?

We must keep in mind that the crank rod and piston does grow with heat. I wonder how much the cylinder grows too? It might be all relative? But different metals expand differently.

You could also try a thin gasket before cutting a $50 piston. How much were thinking of cutting off your piston?
