I don't recall where I seen these, but don't think it was on this forum. Over the winter I found this 4 way head setup for huskee splitters.

4 way comes off, and a taller single wedge can be installed.

Choose your height by 2 different holes. Simple push pin (sitting on top)

Out of curiosity, is your 4-way welded on the inside also on the main wedge?

Those wedges sure look a lot different than what they are putting on them now. On my Speeco splitter the wedge was just to short for my liking. I added about 3" to it, works much better. The 4 way adapter that Speeco sells now wouldn't fit over my wedge now. But that one you have looks to be a much better designed outfit.

Gregg,

Be careful. I bent mine. Had trouble getting the 4 way off and now not sure how to go about straightening the piece on the splitter.

Hmmm, You guys have me in a quandary now. Am wondering if its worth the $$ for the 4 way wedge setup. Part of me says it would be nice, especially for somewhat smallish logs. But for large rounds I have my doubts. I fear that with large rounds it would leave 4 un-split pieces, that would have to be split again. Or worse yet, the bottom two wedge them selves between the beam and wedge. Or mangle itself like cre10's. LOL Just having a taller wedge has done wonders for this splitter.

Undecided,
