2nd post. Replaced a broken clutch sprocket successfully a few weeks ago and cut up a tree. Saw ran normal.

Starter pulley broke so I replaced it. Saw pulled roughly when trying to start. I pulled it apart and then back together a few times, with no change.

I then pulled the spark lug and everything spins as smooth as butter.

Did one quick test start and saw started fine. Shut it down immediately.

It was sitting in the. Shed at 18 below before I worked on it, if that matters.

Safe to run? Did I put something together wrong? Seems like a starter pulley should be easy enough to replace, even for a bean counter lime me.
