I shud have a site called too many saws.com!

I do not know about the HP rating but the 46cc Poulan 295 is supposedly 10.0 lbs

Just guessing, I would say the MS261 V2 probably has the highest power to weight with the 550 V1 and 346 NE right on it's heels.
Well yes it is.10.8. 4.0hp

Echo 501P - I was shocked :surprised3: to see the price of this saw here it's $818 CDN.
I bought my 261-cm for $650 CDN on sale. :)

Echo 501p output is 2.57 kw; vs 261-cm is 3 kw output.
Echo 501p weight is 4.7 kg; vs 261-cm is 4.9 kg

261-cm is stronger on paper :muscle: but a tad heavier, and quite a bit less expensive here in Canada.

Get the Stihl ms261cm!!

Who's arguing? I won't get into the difference between a g5000 and g5200.
I've got both. The efcos are good options.

I don't even use a 50cc much as bending with an 18" bar hurts my back much more than using a heavier 372 with 28" lightweight bar allowing me reach. Even a 36" bar on this saw, seem to hurt me less. I'm getting older and in the last two years am starting to feel saw weight more. Even with that I shy away from most short bar saws. If I have to reach above me, something I like a 200t with 16" bar works well on fruit tree pruning.
Do you find the 28 is long enough? I think 32 would be perfect for bucking while standing for people that are 6’ tall

I never saw a bunch of guys argue more than chainsaw people!!!!
50cc saws always seem to be a hot point to argue about. There are either a lot of paper specs cowboys here with little actual experience. Or guys that are weak enough that a few oz's. seem to really bother them. There are a ton of good 50cc pro and homeowner saws so I don't understand the reason for wasting time arguing like a bunch of bickering children.

6'2" and 28" seems the sweet spot for my back. I haven't done much 32" bar stuff except for my Mac 850, most is 28" or 36". 18 and 20 inch definitely end up hurting me rather quickly. Plus out west here we have plenty of sizable wood for the longer bars.
