i went looking for a snowblower and brought this home. It’s an early pic of my 55 Jeep cj5 Willy’s tractor. For $400 with a 4way plow. I have her over 25 years now. I put the drive train in a 73/v8/cj5 frame when the orginal frame rusted out, I boxed the frame with 3/8” plate 2/3 rds to the rear and triple walled the 1/3rd section to the rear with 3/8” plate. I have a steel mini rock truck dump body too not on it yet. New pics to follow. She has lockers front and rear too.

Pretty sweet. I’ll have to take some picks of my rig some day. It’s a 40’s Ford flat head 6 with a three speed behind it and a 4 speed truck tranny out of a 48 ford behind that. Frame is a 46 ford 3 ton truck cut to about ten feet with a 48 cab on it. I built a crane/ jib on the back that runs on a 20 ton pto powered winch off of some sort of military truck. The rear is out of the truck I used the frame of. I run 11r 22.5 wastehaulers that I cut some lines in with rubber hog and I run chains on the back.

Here’s some pics I found of it almost stuck and carrying a yj tub into the garage

For the record that’s my 4 year olds toy drill on the Jeep frame not mine

We call it huff and puff because it smokes so bad lol. If I put it in 1st and 1st or reverse and reverse and about 3500 rpms (which sounds like a washing machine with a couple handfuls of bolts in it so I try to keep it below that) I can get out a roll besides it faster than it moves

Nice

I’m the orginal owner of a 99 Wrangler tj with a rusted frame. It’s fixable but I’m too old now. I ordered it with 373 gears, Dana 44 posi rear. Convertible and hard top. Hd auto tranny. I been trying to sell it.

I been trying to get $3,000 but if I’m offered $2,500 it’s yours, just put four new tires on it, new front pads and rotors. She runs great when parked. It’s been babied the misses drove it.

My 99 wrangler tj will fit a cj7 frame? Wonder how my 134 f head would pull it with 5:38 gears? They have a kit for four wheel disc brakes using a corvette manual master cylinder. In my early days I was a Jeep mechanic at the dealers.

Anything will fit with with some work. A yj tub and a cj7 tub are the same except one set of body mount holes. I’m not sure about a tj tub. I have only worked on a couple tjs as I like 95 and older stuff where emissions don’t matter in ny. I have also built my own cj7 / yj frames with 2x4 3/16 stock which is also easy to do if you have a old frame to go by.
