Just acquired my first "vintage" saw, a 550 Homelite with a full wrap. I am looking for a set of large dogs for it, OEM bar nuts, and a new chain tensioning stud. Anybody that has anything or if they could turn me onto the right track to find them would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate it! I ran it this evening cleaning up a 24" dbh black oak blodown. That saw is a torque monster! The oiler (manual and automatic) don't seem to be working. Any ideas? Thanks again! -Tom

I found the tensioner. I'm trying to remember the oiler system. Truth is I haven't done a whole bunch of work on these. Ytube be a good help.. More in a little bit.

Did you find the parts you need? I have a few carcasses laying around. If you need parts. My number is 507-450-8919. Also check your oil line they like to rot out in the tank

I haven't found anything for certain yet. I am coming up with a list. Mostly little things. I just want to fix her up and use it! After running 385/390s for years production falling it was really a neat experience to run this saw. It runs well, makes its power much different. The fuel lines look new, carb appears to be new or rebuilt and it starts easy. I appreciate it and will give you a call. Sunday calls ok with you?

The pump is on the clutch side at the bottom. It's the 2 little Phillips, ( I think) screws holding the works on. I think MANesler knows more about this saw than me.. But I have found a falling spike, size medium, bar tensioner, bar nuts, I think that was you list? I'll drop a pic of spike in about an hour.. After I wake up

Awesome! I can't thank you all enough! I love these old things! Makes me feel stupid for giving away three old 12s that were given to me. Cool thing is, the old man I regifted them to is 83 and uses them to cut his winters wood every year. He wipes them down and stores them in his kitchen in the winter to keep them warm!

I've about half dozen 12's for parts. I ran em for a while but was breaking em faster than I could fix em. This Homie has been the best. Beer helps also IMG_20171018_091123.jpg
