550xp Mk1 vs 550xp mk2

Has anyone here run both the above saws? Is there a big performance difference, and is there any reason for a firewood hacker to step up from the 1 to the 2? Over to you

If you have a 550 and it runs good, use it until she dies than move to something else, otherwise there is no need to grab a mkII.

My mk1 is a 13' I believe. Would buy a new 550 to replace. Its the go to bucket / climb saw when the top handles aren't enough

used both.... the mark II would be my choice it is heavier and also has more power , starts flawlessly ... but as stated if you have a good mark I no need to spend the $ .......

For limbing I prefer the light Mk1 since the Mk2 is noticeably heavier but for bucking up firewood Mk2 prob has a small edge but i switch to 70cc for that
