Call me stupid but in your thread what do you mean by transfers to make it a 2172. I know the 2166 and 2172 aka 372xp differ in hp but don't know the actual differences. But I'm highly interested in the 2166!

I won't call you stupid, stupid would be if I tell you and or show you and you just won't learn.
On the sides of the cylinder there are covers that allow access to the transfers, on the 365 xtorq and the 2166(same basic saw in different colored wrappers, one red one orange), on those covers there is a restriction that keeps the power at a lower level. The 2166/2172 and the 365/372xtorq are all 71cc saws on the lower powered 365/2166 you can make this modification to increase the power. Obviously the carb will need to be tuned after doing it.
If you search 365 to 372 xtorq on youtube there is a great video by another member of more of the details.
Also chain/bar included?
Not for that price.
I type a 100 words a min, then it takes me 20 to fix all the mistakes lol.
Check your PM's and give me a call and we can discuss that.

I appreciate your replies guys, I'll be making my decision tomorrow morning.
I want to get the best bang for buck here.
The 2166 looks great but to get it ported (correct me if wrong terminology) to a 2172 spec might be more than I'm willing to spend.

Watch the video, it's not really porting it, although it is removing a restriction :).
You just grind off a small piece of metal from the transfer cover, you do not have to grind on the cylinder itself.

In my opinion you get way more for your money buying used Husqvarna vs. Stihl. I've gotten and seen other 372xp for $350 with minimal use. I think I paid $250- $300 for my 550xp that I actually prefer over a Stihl 261c and it was almost brand new..

20161012_210242.jpg I have a 361 with the full wrap kit here in the classifieds, very very nice saw. Deleted base gasket, guyted muffler, opened and polished exhaust port, and a 390 carb conversion. 450 shipped..

Here's a couple options.
If bought right soon I would do the 2166 for 450.

I also have a 555 that is a fun little saw for 400.

Here's the top of the 2166, it's a very clean low hour saw that hasn't had any ones hands in it yet.20161129_123800.jpg
The 361 that @Laslabjohn has is a clean saw. People may look at it and think the whole thing may be painted up or something, but that is not the case.
This is what it looked liked cleaned with air, not shined up before the west coast kit was installed( new wrap handle, clutch cover, big dogs, he also installed the .325 rim/ drive sprocket). I know John cleaned it better than I did too ;).
I'll vouch for the saw he has and for John :).20160909_150317.jpg20160909_150612.jpg20160909_150331.jpg
