Yeah. Old faithful. Early 70s. It's had some good hacking and whacking to keep it going
.

But I'm chasing a leak down on the power steering, which is tied into the same circuit as the clutch packs.

Before those start slipping, what oil should I be using?

I read c1 automatic transmission fluid. But is that spec even available? Current auto transmission fluid? Such an old machine, is anything ok? Assuming it's not water thin or gooey as molasses?

Isn't c1 European spec diesel grade motor oil? Would make sense for an oil bath gearbox.

the lack of replies, should I assume universal tractor fluid is sufficient?
