another home made wood burner

I've never seen this type stove design before. Here's a vid of a guy making a very nice wood burner out of tire rims, and the air intakes seem to be positioned to create a "cyclonic" effect inside. I know this stove ain't rated or legal for the insurance companies, but are there commercially sold designs out there that work like this?
