I'm a newbie to owb's and just got my Johnson up and running but I've been having a little glitch with tripping out the upper limit aquastat. If any of you guys are familiar with the Johnson's or aquastat settings in general, could you give me an idea of what to use as the initial temp settings?
I have my primary aquastat (the one on the front of the unit) set at 160 to kick the blowers in and 180 to kick them out and that is working fine for me. But the secondary aquastat (on the back of the owb) has me a little puzzled as what to set it at. I have it set to shut down at 190 on the high side but no idea where the low setting should be. Every once in a while it trips and shuts everything down for no reason I can figure. The temp reads 180 and if I move the dial on the secondary aquastat back and forth slightly it will kick on again.
I hope some of my rambling makes sense
Any advice on setting aquastats would be greatly appreciated.
