A friend and I started a small side business doing tree work this past year and so far it has gone very well. We have made it a point to be extra careful, very conservative and not take any risks as far as safety and property damage go. We both have a fair amount of experience cutting trees in ourselves and family/friends, but are new to the business side of it. We both also have the ability to fly domestically for free on any major airline, so we are hoping to travel to some of the trade shows, training seminars or arborists conventions throughout the US this year. For those that have been to such events in the past, are there any of these types of events that you feel stand out and are worth taking a trip for?

Have you joined ISA and TCIA? If not, start there.

What part of IN are you in? The Ohio Tree Care Conference (Ohio Chapter of ISA's annual conference) is in Dayton this year (February 25-27).
