Just before supper you could see the sun coming out and the big guy stopped the rain so after eating I did some splitting of more ash rounds.

Pics 9203 & 05 are the rounds left to split in the gully and pic 9204 is everything I split tonight.

I still have some ash logs that will need to be bucked up along with some rounds on the ridge that will need splitting.

I was wondering if this is a larvae turning into an adult EAB, I found it when I was splitting some ash rounds today.

Pic 9206 are the first bunch of Ash rounds I split today which went on the pile from yesterday, pic 9208. Pic 9209 is after I cleared some dead stuff out of the gully, 9211 is a pic of the last rounds I split with some pics of the new pile, pics 9219 & 9220.

The area the ash will be stacked in will finally get ready tomorrow, I'm hoping for eight face cord from this springs work which will give us ten with the two I put up last fall.

I find it intresting how they look directional in nature.

I am now in the process of transplanting about 200 sugar and crimson king maples I started from seed two years ago for bare area where my seed spreading didn't seem to work. I believe that was due to the grass getting tall and smothering the tree seedlings.
