I'm hoping a nice member could do me a solid and take a picture for me. I'm rebuilding a 445 and I'm having troubles attaching the throttle cable. I'm hoping someone could pop the cover and snap a photo of how the throttle cable attaches to the carb. This is what I'm looking at:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

I have the 450 rancher. I've never taken the intake area apart...yet.
(I've swapped the non-adjustable oiler for an adjustable one from the 455/460 models)
But here are some quick shots.
t 1 a - is the throttle closed.
t 1 b - I had pulled the trigger then trapped the monkey linkage with my finger
and released the trigger.
this shows the slack and a better view of the cable routing.
t 1 c - is just a bit better angle of how the cable end fits under the tab.
t 1 d - shows the cable slot a bit better.
t 1 e - just a bit more of the cable routing.
I can try for more if needed.

Thinking a moment... I believe that your cable will follow the red line path**
in a slot and the blue spot should be the barrel at the end of the cable

Edit: I think the blue end should be a marked bit lower into the rectangular pocket area.
Plus it looks like the little retainer tab is missing from above the spot.
Hopefully my 450 pics show it well enough to work by.
(pre-coffee posting, sorry)

**aint my freehand work purdy? - no worry for the saw porters from me!

Thank you for the very detailed pictures. I bought this saw as a box of parts and couldn't seem to figure out how the cable attached. I even popped the hood on my Jonsered 2252 to see if it was similar, but it's a completely different bird.
