I've got a Ms 180 and a 290 that I've taken apart 2 times trying to stop a bar oil leak near the pumps and can't figure out what I'm missing as far as finding what is worn that's causing these leaks( leaks while running and causes a big puddle after it's turned off)
Could it be worn around plastic bushing that pump shaft goes through?

It's a puddle that is 2 times the diameter of the saw( so it's substantial)

Have you been using that top of the line Stihl bar oil that is clear? I seem to have had a lot of mess sitting after using a gallon of that. Could be coincidence but that is all I can add at this point. Dedicated funnel and gallon jug to dump out bar oil when done using until it gets figured out.

Those 2 saws have entirely different oilers.
To access the oil lines, you will have to get the wrap handlebars out of your way, if that is where the leak is coming from {likely}.

On the MS180, just remove the cap and look at it. It is the little green booger on the top of the tank....
Unless it is not there, it is likely not your problem.
