Must be in production before 1979. The idea is to make it a demonstration of vintage saws so the typical saw is not modified other than a sharpened, round filed chisel for the one man saws. Hot saws can run square ground chain.

Two man saws

5 In3 & under gear drive
Over 5 In3 gear drive
5 In3 & under direct drive
Over 5 In3 direct drive
Vintage hot saws; all have been kart engine based saws with McCulloch 91/92/101 and West Bend 820 type engines

Last few years they added a 2 In3 and under to try and get some of the younger enthusiasts involved, also fun to watch and play

I was there and it was awesome. Once again it was another great group of people to hang out with for a couple of days along with the wealth of knowledge available to go with it. This show provides a rare opportunity to see incredible old and rare chainsaws along with celebrity like people.

This time I finally brought along a pile of saws to display and I really enjoyed when people young and old would stop and ask questions or just talk about saws they have or had at one time. It was good entertainment.

Thanks Mark Heimannm for all the pics you take and the great job you do of adding a informative description to each one. You have a gift.

I was having operator error issues with my camera so I missed some people during the races or the pics just didn't turn out. My apologies.

I have asked Scott to send me the time sheets so I will have all of the saws as well.

Two man -
1st Steve King & Mark A. - KB Military
2nd James Shimniok & son - DA211

5In3 under gear
1st Scott? McCulloch - McCulloch BP-1
2nd Mark H - McCulloch 55

5In3 over gear
1st Mark H - McCulloch 1-85
2nd Dave - Homelite Super 1130

5In3 under direct
1st Luke - Wards 5.0
2nd Luke - Stihl 07S

5In3 over direct
1st Luke - McCulloch SP125
2nd Steve M - Stihl 090

Hot saws
1st Scott M - McCulloch 101
2nd Pete M - McCulloch 92

2In3 under direct
1st Luke - Jonsered 361
2nd - Austin - Poulan VVX

Looks like James will have to cut some firewood this year instead of heating with plaques as he has been able to do in the past. Some have suggested we will all pitch in and help Luke "sharpen" his chains in preparation for next year.

I did not rank in the 5In3 under gear, and I didn't even compete in the 5In3 over gear. However, I did sneak a 1st in the 2In3 under direct with my Jonsereds M361.

I think I'll pass on the help with chain sharpening...[emoji3]

All I know is you get a pat on the back from me for the way you got that 80cc Remington to run.

I never seen one run like that, it would make my 95cc SL7A look like it had it's chain on backwards.

Maybe I should send it off to you for one of those special tuneups?:ices_rofl:

There were 4 McCulloch BP-1 saws in attendance, three ran in the demonstration on Saturday.

There were three Solo 611 Twins in attendance, two ran in the demonstration on Saturday including mine above.

Roger Bennett - Roger's was running but had a split in the fuel tank so it was not really log worthy this day

Last year I broke the starter at the log...

Only 1 Sachs Dolmar KMS4 this year, but it did run pretty well

Looks like we need to find someone with a running Comet diesel to really complete the array of unique saws.
