Been robbed. Five saws stolen.

In my State the detectives can pull footage of traffic cams and get a plate of the suspect shortly after he was in that area and put him almost at the scene of the crime especially since you have a name! Also neighbors with Sec Cams facing the road can put him at the scene at the time! Look on your road.

Update*
Just got off the phone with the sheriff's office. They have positively identified the suspect. Clay William Carpenter Jr born July 22 1981 He's currently in violation of parole for a previous felony larceny.
He's staying with his mother in Fayetteville NC. Sheriff's have applied for a warrant, and will be executing it ASAP.
Fingers crossed that my saws are there. I have previously provided serial numbers and pics.
Wow that was fast, getting papers to execute him in the morning. They gonna hang him by his nards or drag him down a graveled dirt road on atv's. Hope you get your saws back from the trash that he is. Heck, horse, rope, tree, save tax dollars. And have a picnic like they use to.

I wish I was there to help you. You really don’t need the cops to get your stuff back, you just need to know who it is and where they are. Then you pay them a visit with a couple good buddies...
I have a good friend that did three years for a burglary charge when his original mint vespa was stolen. They found the crackhead and the guy he sold the scooter to.(had to buy it back)
Went to the thiefs house,
Roughed him up trashed his already trashed house dumped his drugs (crack) out in the front yard.
The three were charged with felony assault and burglary.
The two were let off on the account of my buddy doing three for burglary.

This aint the wild west. It dont work like that. You act alone and act smart.
Prosecutors cut thieves slack because they are jobless and on drugs. They cant get a dime out of them.

If you work for a living and are productive they will overcharge the hell out of you. My state has a gang law of three or more and a million other ways to get you to willingly plea out to prison time in a violent offense.

If you have never had the pleasure of accepting a reduced sentence for a crime you did not commit vs. facing a jury of idiots and possible 10-30 years in prison, the first time you do it will open your eyes.
I have.
10-30 years was fought for three years.
Thats three years of **** sleep and 50 k in lawyers fees with dozens of court dates. I plead guilty to.... DISTURBING THE PEACE. The charge was reduced from two B felonys!
THATS RIGHT! THATS WHY THE OVERCHARGE YOU.

That jury will be full of the same ignorant people that read half a story dressed up by the media online and say, "Fry him!"

Prosecutors and judges do not give a single care if a innocent person spends their life in prison. The fact that my friend served the time he did over what was rightfully his just so his buddies wouldn't go down shows about how much they care.

If you are productive they will destroy your life. The Judicial system lets lowlifes walk and destroys the lives of any productive member of society. They ride you for all you are worth and your lawyer is smiling right along with them. Until you have been there undeservingly you will never understand.

Oh, btw... The crackhead that stole my friends scooter got zero charges. My friend sees him once in a while. The crackhead is and was so messed up he has no clue who my friend is.

Wow that’s rough, I’m sorry to hear that. I quite honestly can’t imagine the sleepless nights of worrying about doing hard time for a felony charge... also the money for the lawyers....
We really do live in a BS society, criminals get off and the honest get dinged... hard.

I also wound up fighting a divorce at the same time. That wound up being a great thing though. Though it stretched out three years too.

I hope this guy gets his saws and whoever stole them OD's.
We had two vehicles broke into last night in our town which is rare. Better go trip the fuel breaker on my truck.

Spot on brother!

Chains are better than cables.

I had a SOB try to steal my saws, chained to a barn beam. He found one of my hacksaws and cut himself as much as the 5/16 chain. He did get through the chain but hand(s) must have been gushing blood as he left the saws. I upgraded to 3/8 case hardened chain and hid all metal cutting tools well.

Fingerprints and blood evidence all over. Cops could have cared less, must have been cutting into their coffee/doughnut time..

Bad Cop, no doughnut!

Where?

Have you contacted the Stihl dealer?
they will put it in their database as stolen.
I provided everything to the detective. Surveillance footage, serial numbers, pics of each saw. I have not contacted the dealer yet. Really praying that they are found when warrant is executed.

You are lucky that you have police that give a rat's azz.

In my case , probably some dope head(s), that they already had prints/blood in databases. Cops took a look and left, not 5 min. for an "investigation"

P.S. I really hope your saws come home.

Wife and I had a vehicle stolen several years ago. Wife ended up catching the perp., the detective was doing nothing. She called Meijer's in a town about 50 miles away b/c the credit card she had left in the vehicle was used there for gas. Perp. was on camera pumping gas. She had to call the detective and have Meijer's send him the footage...guy had just got out of prison 3 days prior to stealing our vehicle. Never would have been caught I bet if my wife hadn't followed up with Meijer's video.
He ended up doing time and we got the vehicle back abandoned on a back road out of fuel. Vehicle had approx. 40 syringes throughout it, looks like a 3 day drug binge, joy ride.

On Friday August 9th at 5:32pm my security cameras recorded a person knocking on my front door. Nine minutes later I arrived home and discovered my shop had been robbed.
Door kicked in, metal cabinets pried open, cable locks cut.
Saws stolen:
1998 Jonsered 2065 w/ 78cc ported BB wearing a 36" bar.
1989 Stihl 011av with bad coil.
2019 Stihl MS261c with black cylinder cover
Two 1980's McCulloch Mac 10-10s.
I was left with only my MS260 (pro). It broke my heart, as the Jonsered was my father's, and the 011 was my first saw.
This happened in Hope Mills NC, in the south eastern part of the state.
The thief has been identified, but unless he's caught with stolen items, he will walk. I don't have much hope in ever seeing my beloved saws again.
If any of you could keep an eye out, I'd pay to get them back.
The Jonsered 2065 has a 2165/2171 style cyl cover with the quick release air filter cover and red squirrel chew marks on gas tank/handle. Plus it's oil tank leaks under the exhaust which creates a plume of smoke when up to temp (I have the gaskets and bearings to split the case)
Stihl 261c has a dyed (not painted) cyl cover.
Stihl 011av has a spliced plug wire (fail).
Any help will he greatly appreciated!
send me a ticket and I will bring the necessary "tools" to get the truth from him... I have watched enough good fellows, and casino to know how to use a hammer & a baseball bat properly... I hate thieves.

Hi Friend. I'm about 35 minutes away in Bladenboro. I hope you get your saws back. Right after hurricane Mathew came through one of the local crack heads stole a ms311 and a worn out 359 from me. I never got them back. I had cut so much hurricane wood with them that I had carpel tunnel.
The tragedy in my story was that as I started trying to figure out what to replace them with I contracted Chainsaw Accumulation Disorder. I figured out that the best cure for carpel tunnel is a bigger saw. If one is good then two is real good. My wood cutting buddy said losing those saws was the best thing that could have happened. That crackhead costed me a lot of money. [emoji23]
Good Luck!
