In fact I like the CS400 so much when I had a chance to pick another one up on the cheap I didn’t hesitate. The MS271 hardly gets used anymore. It’s just an overweight pig of a saw.

I'v had a 310 for about 8 years. It's cut an incredible amount of wood. Pull the limiter and richen it up and keep a sharp chain on it.
I use it first for wood up to 10 inch diameter. But I like using a saw so usually i am not in a hurry to get done cutting. I enjoy running the 310 and just letting her eat wood at her own pace.
