Always good entertainment to find out how much risky work people will let you do for free in exchange for their pine wood. Saw one today on the Atlanta CL that had three large pines in someone's backyard and if you take them down and of course remove all the brush you can have the wood for free! Yea! At least they didn't require the stumps to be ground. Any takers? Then how about the free oak tree in someones yard that is overhanging their house? That would be good firewood eh?. I think I'll pass on that as well.

Free Wood?

Yeah, this sounds like a guy in our area who offered the wood of a 100' spruce tree if someone would just come out to his cottage and take it down. People don't realize that one tree is not very valuable and spruce does not even make good firewood. And what do you do with a few spruce logs?

Much better is this one. Tree's down cut to short lengths " Take it all and $100" looks to be close to 30" stump but is too far a distance
